I was given some Harman Kardon soundsticks for Christmas but they stopped working after 3 months, and they were too quiet anyway. Can anyone recommend some 2.1 speakers that do not pick up mobile phone interference please?
TIA

I don't know, no rumors point to a date of Sept. 19 for any new hardware and they don't usually update the store for new software.

A client of mine spilled a Diet Coke on her unibody white MacBook.
What is a unibody white MacBook? It's either white or an unibody. If it's the white one then the kb is very easy to replace, if it's the unibody one you have to almost completely remove everything to replace the top cover. As for the damage it could be and easy fix or a dead logic board. When the spill happened did you remove power and shut it down immediately?

Grrr. I should have bought the D700 when it came out. Still waiting for next gen.
Might go with D7000 and brand new DX lenses instead...
but then you might be kicking yourself you didn't wait for the update if it's announced shortly after the purchase of the d7000.
you can also check out nikonrumors.com for speculation, or bythom.com for some speculation as well (he's been at least in the ballpark).
if you're not in a rush to get the updated versions, wait it out. You'll find out whether you need the new version, or if you can get the soon to be replaced version much, much cheaper.

This is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen.
I think that IS the stupidest iAccessory I've ever seen. Surely someone is just squatting at a no-show booth.

Would love for them to open a store near Lancaster or Harrisburg, but until then KOP is the closest. Dunno if I'm in the mood to pay tolls to get there, though. Having never been to a launch event, is it really worth it if I'm not going to buy it?

If you do decide to swap out the logicboard from a newer/faster iMac, keep in mind there are two 500mhz boards out there...the DV SE which has the older 8mb Rage chip and the later models which have the 16mb chip. I'd look for a 600 or 700mhz board to be safe.

Importing from Europe would be even more interesting. But I'm not sure that most of the cars built for their consumption meet U.S. emissions and crash testing standards. Therefore, obtaining registration would probably be unduly difficult.
Of course, if you want to drive your diesel on a private race track, or just up and down your driveway (read: off of public thoroughfares), you'll have no trouble whatsover.

DaisyDisk seems to give a good indication of where all those missing GBs are going.
Disk Inventory X (http://www.derlien.com/) does this as well, with a nice graphical "treemap" that shows you what kinds of files are clogging up your drive.

Totally depends on what software you want to run and expected number of users. Also does it have to be OSX?
Mac Pro isn't an ideal full time server since you are spending money on video card, Bluetooth, I/O ports, airport, etc.

Since you went the clean install route, my guess would either be bad ram or a bad HD. I had an iMac that had all sorts of weird lock ups and other odd problems. Traced it down to the HD, replaced it, been fine since.
It's probably not a loose connection, but worth a shot, make sure everthing inside is connected fully, reseat the ram and such.

You're going to rip your hair out coding for IE6.. is there a reason you're wanting to?
Considering that IE6 is being promoted by Microsoft to die I really wouldn't worry about making it compatible, unless your audience is from South Korea where 24% are still using IE6 :p

Lol he looks like an old hippy teaching creative writing or something at a csu. He is so dangerous he has to be kept in solidary and the entire cuban inmate population had to jump him and tackle him to subdue him in the 80s prison riots -- because the federal govt wouldnt deal with the cubans if he was still lose. They even had to escort him recently in a Hanibal lector suit at some recent gag trials.

"Carter said defense lawyers could call Tommy Silverstein as a witness but warned the notorious Aryan Brotherhood leader known as "Terrible Tom" would be shackled in court "just like a 'Silence of the Lambs' character."
Silverstein killed a guard in 1983 at Marion federal prison in Illinois after slipping his handcuffs with the help of another gang member and pulling a concealed foot-long knife.
Silverstein, who has also been convicted of killing three other inmates, is the nation's most heavily guarded prisoner, according to prosecutors. He is confined to a special cellblock in the basement of Leavenworth Penitentiary in Kansas.
"He will come out here in chains and sit there in chains," Carter said in a pretrial hearing on Friday."

Now of your budget is over 1k then we can talk better cameras ;)
say its 1 to 2k, and the output is for vimeo HD, or a 135" PJ, via iMovie or FCE, what would you kindly recommend?

most TVs don't include an audio in port for the HDMI.
you can use something like
this (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=101&cp_id=10114&cs_id=1011405&p_id=5369&seq=1&format=2) - a dvi and digital audio combiner, that outputs HDMI.
and one of these (http://www.monoprice.com/products/subdepartment.asp?c_id=102&cp_id=10229&cs_id=1022902) toslink to mini cable to connect audio from your computer to the box.

you'll also need an HDMI male to male, to plug the box into your TV.
also look at your TV manual, or if you're using an external stereo that has digital inputs. the toslink to mini cable might come in handy.

Hi,..
Things made for vinyl don't sound right digital, similarly things made for digital sound stupid on vinyl (though many artists still sell vinyls in this way). At least this has been my experience.

I use a cheapy old bluetooth that I got at a local electronic discount store for $20 it works fine. I used it on a VoIp app that I have.. only problem is that the voice gets delayed for a few seconds and it can be choppy at times.
