Line Update: Apparently my number are off or my eyes deceive me. Apple rep did a count and said there were 89. See pic.
I drove by the Leawood Apple Store, but opted for BestBuy at 119th & Metcalf. I was number 19 in line and got exactly what I wanted. White 64 GB WiFi 3G AT&T.
I may go by the Apple Store and try to get a Red Leather Cover.

Regarding MAMP:
If I install in on a Mac which is on a LAN, can other computers on the same network access it or the sites it's hosting?
Can anyone confirm that people can't access it via the web as well? (Just want to be sure that I don't get it messed up or visible before I want it to go live.)
Thanks,
MAMP should be accessible to other computers on your LAN - just search on MAMP+LAN for details.
MAMP is really designed as a local development tool, then you copy your site developed on MAMP to a live web server (hosted site). At least that's how I use it. MAMP Pro has some additional features which might allow you to view sites in MAMP on a live server but I'm not sure about that as I never used or needed the Pro version.

Same here.
Well said. :)
I couldn't care less about the iWalk. It's was just a rumor. It's as dead as OS 9. Let's move on. Spymac doesn't do rumors anymore. Apple has made that clear. It's just a community. That's why the trailer was made, to serve the community, and give a few insights as to what is coming in the next major update to the site. The administrators could have done sod-all, but decided to make a trailer to entertain.

Online translators are not very accurate with translating texts. It's much better to just pay a professional to do it for you.
As for the dropdowns, you could consider replacing them with "suckerfish" dropdowns that use only HTML and CSS and a little tiny javascript for IE.

Bah Flash is so 2004. Learn something like PHP, some Javascript and learn to leverage the XMLHttpRequest object and you'll find you don't need Flash. ;)

Have you tried it on someone else's computer other than yours, to make sure it's a FF/IE/Safari code issue and not an issue with the settings of FF and IE or of QT on your computer? For instance link it and let us try?
Also, if you force-specify the MIME type by adding:
type="audio/x-mp3"
to the <embed> tag, what happens?

Who gives a rats ass?
Its apparently a great game. Its getting rave reviews. So its a big deal for mac to get an a-list game.
To answer your question, anyone that is a star wars fan or anyone that likes high quality games. Which, last I heard, means a lot of people.
The bigger question is when is it coming out for Mac? Though I'm all for more games on mac, I have to say that I'll probably be finished playing the ps2 version by the time the mac version is released...

hi recently ive been getting this error message everytime I try and download something from Safari. does anyone know how to solve this problem?? i attached a snapshot of the error message, hope the picture works!
Looking at your error message, it looks like your Safari installation is corrupted. Unfortunately, there's no easy way to fix this - what's needed is a reinstall of Safari, but doing that is easier said than done due to the way Apple sometimes bundles Safari updates along with operating system updates. If you're using Mac OS X 10.3.7, download the Mac OS X Combined Update 10.3.7 (http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/macosxcombinedupdate_10_3_7.html) (warning, it's a 97 MB file) and install it - it includes a Safari update, which MIGHT fix your issue. Otherwise, I'm not sure how to help, since I've lost touch with Mac OS X versions older than 10.3.

and way into high posting, one can be a 601 at 5,000 posts
i don't know what the next level will be or at how many posts
it could be the 602, which was not a widely used processor, or the more common 603...but then i wonder if the 603e will be another level or if arn decides the person is a 604...of course, there was the 604e after that
and after the 6xx levels, there is the G3, G4, and G5 and it's a mystery where those sit at
and is there a G6??

I expected the end of the year break.
When I heard the rumor about Thanksgiving, I was taken aback. With iOS 4.2 launching soon, and getting new features and bug fixes out to support the new OS, it would be rough on end-users and developers to take that week off.
I'm glad we'll still have access across Thanksgiving.

What about if you put a SSD in the Mini? Would that make a difference for EyeTV (I guess probably not if you were using the RAM buffer)?
you got it no mini gpu has enough the older ones were 64mb then 256mb the imac has a 4870 = 512mb the mac pro has a 5870 = 1gb
It is frustrating to me as my ht is in a den and I don't have a lot of room in the rack for a big computer. I would have liked a mac midi the old foot print of 6.5 by 6.5 with 4 inches or 5 inches height.
