I'm just really learning about this type of technology, so I'm curious: what makes a SSD different when erased compared to a traditional disk-spinning HD? I had always heard that, with a traditional HD, even if you erased/reformatted the drive and threw it away that some savvy tech types could somehow either restore your drive or get file fragments to get information, etc? Maybe that's just paranoid urban myth, but that's what I had always heard. What, technologically speaking, makes a SSD different in terms of not retaining old data when erased? Just curious.

If you're willing to spend that much then why not just get a baseline 2011 MBP?

This may have been covered before but does anybody have any cleaning tips for the Macbook Air (Latest Version) i.e. The screen, the keyboard, touchpad and outer unibody casing, I'm just a little hesitant to use any old cleaning products.

Thanks for the tip. apple's laptop are always such a pain to open up. Changing the hard drive on my toshiba only involved taking out 5 screws.:(
parts of pbfixit.com were good.. but that was the simple stuff.. the hardest part of the whole bit was doing this, and they essentially give you the wrong info. i should've taken pictures, but for anyone who is interested.. oh my 15" powerbook revision C, this holds true.
if you get to the part of having to remove this latch. get a nice dentist poker stick thingie and instead of prying at the case, simply push aside the optical slot protector/dust stoppers on the left side, right at the first little slit going vertically. insert the tip of the dentist thing into the area .. you can see the case and the latch if you look very carefully. put it in between them and gently pull forward while lifting on the top case gently. it comes off very very easily. this will essentially mean you touch ZERO of your case while taking this off. if you go in through the gap as pbfixit.com says, depending on the tool (metal or whatever) it will quickly turn nasty and you'll be ruining your case... if someone would like pictures, i can take them... it won't be real accurate, but i can point out the obvious parts. maybe i'll even put a guide together for it to help people..
going to take photos now. be back shortly with pics.

PS: check out the mac processor power/ speed/ core #'s, buss speeds, RAM speed and Amt, when cs3,4, AP, & LR were introduced. It will put what you think will work in perspective with what will work just fine. The base 27 will suffice for years into the future. Add a matte screen when you get more serious. When you evolve the point when you are editing batch photos, or doing multiple poster sized layouts, add a few SSD's. When that time comes, their sizes & prices will be more in tune with reality.

I also agree with the first post that this mouse is very nice with multiple bottons and accurate tracking. I boutht it at Staples and I paid $59 as they were on sales. I think other main retailors are selling at over $70.
I am thinking about getting the second one for my other PB.

Unless being mobile is a necessity, go with the G5 iMac. The extra horsepower will pay off. The 17" screen also comes in handy when you start adding tracks.
I don't know about the tech spec. You should be able to find this info on Apple's web site.
As for speakers. I use JBL Creatures and have been very pleased with them. They come in white and silver, both of which would compliment the iMac.

As an academic exercise i would try to write both approaches... treating the number as a number and approaching this with math and treating the number with a string and dealing with it that way.
That's one of the things that wasn't clear in the OP.
What is meant by "The program uses an input function for the number and then returns the results." is it supposed to be treated as a number or a string? Is the input part of the code specified in the problem statement?
Ultimately it doesn't matter since they both reduce to separating the number into digits/characters in either way.

It wouldn't be so bad if their core content was good once you got through the garbage. But their rumors have always been iffy, and as edesignuk says, the gallery has always been slower than watching the grass grow. Maybe they'll take all this ad revenue and buy a newer server. I've got a PM 9500 I'm not using - I'll bet its 200MHz 604e would be a huge upgrade over their current Quadra 650. (Oh wait, maybe they're still using that IIcx they got at the yard sale last year)

The iPod touch bluetooth only works for headphones. There's no profile for anything else...
The blurb for the iTouch iOS4 upgrade blurb (http://www.apple.com/ipodtouch/ios4-software-update.html) indicates that bluetooth functionality has been extended to include keyboards. Unfortunately, I have tested this on a 2gen itouch using two non apple keyboards that worked with an ipad, but they did not "discover" although there was indication that a dialog had transpired.
Very disappointing... anyone know anything more about what the ios4 brings to the BT table and if the 2gen is even included?
fwiw, I _was_ able to pair BT stereo headsets to the 2gen under os3 but it appears that the upgrade to 4 may have disabled even that option.

As long as you sign up to be a safari developer (for free), then you are officially a developer to apple and can access the videos. So it is free to watch all of the videos, all you have to do is sign up with the safari development program.
